All Alone In A Crowded Room Book
All Alone In A Crowded Room Book
This book is the final part of a 4 year project which included my most recent show in Peckham at the end of last year. It is a culmination of a series of work exploring grief and loss. The book features images of the murals and canvases I have painted in that time, as well as responses to the public call out 'what does loss mean to you?' and an essay by Sam Carver.
The idea for the whole project originated from struggling to express and process my feelings after losing my best friend in January 2019 and I began trying to explore those feelings through my work. The results make up this book alongside some beautiful entries from the response to the public call out.
I'm really proud of how this whole project has come together and the book feels like a suitable way to round it all off. All proceeds from the sale of the book will go to The Oli Hilsdon Foundation who fund brain tumour research. More info on what they do can be found here.
